Objective
To create a seamless home automation experience where users can control various smart devices in their home through a single interface. The app needed to be intuitive, user-friendly, and scalable to support over 230 types of devices.
Problem Statement
The smart home automation market is growing rapidly, but the existing solutions are often fragmented, hard to navigate, and brand-specific. Users find it difficult to manage multiple devices from different brands using a single interface, leading to inefficiencies and frustration.
The challenge was to design a solution that integrates smart home functionalities in one app, ensuring that the user can control lights, appliances, security systems, and temperature controls without technical friction.
Competitive Research
We began by analysing the strengths and weaknesses of three major competitors: Philips Hue, SmartThings, and Amazon Alexa. Each offered some useful functionalities but lacked in either user experience, cross-brand integration, or interface efficiency.

We know while improving technology there’s also the risk to get data stolen by the technology as well and when it comes to home we at AHI have considered the security to be the top most priority.
Giving the user to add various types of security measures in order to protect them from theft and hacking.

Lights are the essential of smart homes and this time we have added many more brands which the user can connect with their smartphone. We have also integrated different kinds of lights namely dimmer, lamps, table top lights etc.
We understand the importance of lights and if at anytime our servers go down you don’t have to worry as we have provided the backup and therefore we have introduced a new feature called “Back Down” which will give you 10-15 mins of additional time whenever our servers go down. In this meantime, you can totally save your work and be ready with the backup.

Well, with the help of your smart watch you can track your home and if anything gets serious the watch will immeditely send an SOS and the help will be provided by the application in no time.

You can simply create your own scene or choose from various available options. While creating or editing a scene you can choose from the options of devices you want to notify. If you have enabled any device they will automatically turn on when the time comes.
Creating a scene
You can simply add a or many members from this screen. If you just have to invite one person you can input their phone number and our app will determine if they have an account. Once invited they will get a notification to accept and be a member!
Seems so effective and easy! Also you can add multiple users from your contacts by just clicking on that contacts button.
Adding a member
Using your smartwatch you can get all the updated on it. Therefore, why need to look at phone when everything can be seen from your wrist.
FInally, there’s an option to control your appliance like AC from the app remotely and can make your room according to your preference even before you reach home. Isn’t it smart?
